Very Good to Near Fine. George Cruikshank. Contemporary calf-backed marbled boards with modern calf rebacking; xii, 259, [1] pages. Illustrated with 2 text engravings after William Gell and 7 etched plates by George Cruikshank after sketches by the author. With Cruikshank's AUTOGRAPH pasted to the verso of the half-title page opposite the title page. Blackmer 56: "A very interesting account of several months' visit, written in a lively style. Nothing seems too trivial for the author's notice; he gives detailed descriptions of costume and of all sorts of manufactures including jewellery, silks, perfumes etc."
