About This Item
This book's major flaw is that the spine has about 40 pea sized spots of insect damage, several of which go through the cloth (see the pictures). Nonetheless, this interesting green volume has a gilt picture on front cover and gilt lettering on spine; embossed frame around cover and design on back; protective tissue page in front of title page; 23 nice black & white drawings and fold out map in back. Other flaws are: hinges are stressed (though still holding fine); pages tanned with age and a few age spots; corners and spine ends worn with some fraying; back fly leaf is missing; library card pocket removed from inside front cover & library sticker on spine and title page; library puncture seal on title page; former owner's name on one of the front blank pages.
