London: MacMillan and Co., Limited, 1894, 1895. Undetermined. very good. 1st edition, 1st printing. vi, 212; 238pp. Octavo. Two volumes, both first editions. Both volumes bound in the original publisher's blue cloth with gold gilt decorations and text stamped to the front boards and spines. All edges gilt. Dark grey endpapers. Previous owner's name to the reverse of the ffep in the Jungle Book and to the reverse of the half-title in the Second Jungle Book. Hinges have been profesionally restored. Two pages of advertisements at the end of the Second Jungle Book. Illustrations by J. Lockwood Kipling, W. H. Drake and P. Frenzeny in the first book and J. Lockwood Kipling in the second. Very mild foxing to both volumes, else a very clean, tight set. A very handsome pair of Kipling's beloved classic, the Jungle Book, best known for the stories featuring the feral jungle boy, Mowgli. The illustrations, done by Kipling's father, are particularly stunning. 1894
