London: Victor Gollancz Ltd., 1932. xvi,420 pp. Octavo. Original black cloth. Gilt title on spine. Boards a bit dusty and slightly worn. Original printed dustwrapper which has a number of closed tears and slight loss on the top and bottom of the spine otherwise complete. Frontispiece. 60 black and white illustrations. Folding map at the rear. The text block is clean. Overall a very nice copy in the very scarce original dust wrapper. Neate S119. The First ascent of Kamet (7756 m) was a splendid achievement after a long series of attempts dating back to 1855. Rare in the first edition and the dust wrapper. 1932
