Letters on travel collected in this volume as A KANSAN ABROAD were originally published in the Topeka Commonwealth in 1877, and make up 187 pages of the text, which also includes the author's sketch PIKE OF PIKE'S PEAK, and his commencement day address to the Kansas Agricultural College THE WORLD A SCHOOL. .
