An attractive dedication copy of Karsh's striking portraits. The photographer has inscribed this copy 'To: Gordon Parks, in friendship, Yousuf Karsh'.
Gordon Parks (1912-2006) was an American photographer, musician, writer and film director, who became prominent as a photojournalist in the 1940s through 1970s, particularly on issues of civil rights, poverty and African-Americans, but he also won renown for his glamour photography.
