Longmans Green and Co, London, New York and Bombay, 1897. New Edition. Hardcover. Very Good Condition/No Dust Jacket. Six matching volumes in dark red cloth with silver lettering on the spine, decorative brown and white end-papers with swans, ships and 1726 in design. Covers are just a little darkened and some spines are slightly faded. Spine-ends are lightly bumped and worn, sound binding but page between front end-paper and half-title has been partly removed with a vertical cut. Darkened upper block edges. Some foxing, mainly lightly to early pages, vertical block edges, pages facing fold-out maps, and very lightly on some fold-out maps. Publisher's catalogues bound at rear of volumes.
