VG(-)/Good (+). 14 Cms x 21 Cms. x+274; 1943-dated sig.to front endpaper otherwise internally clean, tight & unmarked (bar a trivial marginal ink spot p.268); covers clean andunworn but trace of rubbing top front joint; jacket clipped to each corner, major loss to spine ends affecting most of bottom imprint, minor edge-rubbing and nicking elsewhere but generally clean. Mead's popular essays on contemporary American society and the war. Jacket seems scarce in any condition and the work is quite rare in UK.
