About This Item
Toronto, Ontario: Toronto: McClelland & Stewart ( M&S ), 1965, 1st Canadian Edition, 1st Printing, 1965. -----------( 1st Printing of the First Canadian Edition ) ---hardcover, a Fair example only and offered as is -a filler copy for the completist, overall wear, rubbing, loss to paper covers at corners and spine tips, crease on spine, number stamp, two ink names, small stain on a few pages (does not affect text), date on the copyright page is 1965 and does not indicate any additional printings, biographical sketch of Harper Lee at the rear of the book mentions 1961 which means that listings which indicate 1960 for this edition are WRONG, the true Canadian first was 1965, later printings of this 1965 edition seem to be relatively available and in fact I have had them a number of times but the true 1st printing of this edition is quite scarce, ---most copies are usually annotated, underlined, bracketed etc as these were designed for the school system, as well there are usually school stamps and marks ---this copy is free of school stamps and student markings, any image directly beside this listing is the actual book and NOT a generic photo ///NOT SIGNED ---GUARANTEED to be AVAILABLE/// ---sizes are approximate (generally within 1/8 inch)---. First Edition. Hard Cover. Fair (see description)/No Jacket as issued. Illus. by No Dustjacket as Issued. 5w x 8.25h Inches.
