Clean, tight book in bright, near fine dustjacket. Marred only by some staining to the fore-edge and light dust-soiling top edge. Gollancz London 1975 1st Edition Hardback Cloth 8vo. 288 pp. A posthumous memoir completed after Chapman's death by his widow, writer Storm Jameson, who inscribed and signed a leaf of notepaper that is tipped into the front pastedown, dated 14th September, 1975. Addressed to Warren Roberts, the long-time head of the Ransom Center at the University of Texas. Beautifully written account of the life of a soldier, publisher, historian, among others. Scarce.
