About This Item
New York: Devin-Adair, 1915. McGuire (1868-1923) was an ardent Irish nationalist, supporting Germany to defeat England. This is a Good only copy of the First Edition. Alternative green cloth binding (also seen in a red binding), very bright and clean. Gilt lettering and a paper spine label. Clean text; 313 pages with 6 pages of publisher's adverts in the rear. Laid-in is a duplicate spine label and there are very interesting penciled comments by a previous owner (dated in 1915, with purchase price) on the FFEP. This would be a Near Fine copy, but both front and back gutters have split. Please note the condition issues; Quercus offers this book as a Binding Copy, in need of repair or restoration. No dustjacket; in an archival plastic protector. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. First Edition.. Hard Cover. Good Plus/No Jacket.
