Pink tinted top edge. Bright DJ complete with "15/- net" price. . All three text block edges bright & clean. Immaculate inside. Book tends to stay closed when stood on its spine, a sign of having been read with great care, if at all. Dj top edge extrems with few 1/8" chips. The book was completed after Arthur Mee died. Mee had edited all the other titles. The following year, 1953, it was reprinted and the series renamed "THE QUEEN'S ENGLAND". .
