Santa Barbara: Santa Teresa Press, 1992. First Edition, First Printing. Limitled to 500 copies. A booket issued as a holiday greeting in December 1992 to the friends of Kirk Douglas and Pepper and Stern Rare Books. It publishes a long letter that Douglas wrote to Cooper in May, 1961 from on the set of Lonely Are the Brave adapted from the novel, The Brave Cowboy, by Edward Abbey. Mint in the rarely present original publisher’s envelope which is also in mint condition. When published, Variety, the entertainment bible newspaper described it as “...the Christmas greeting of the year.” Finely printed and produced, a charming and interesting item.
