Memoir from author, playwright and screenwriter Anita Loos (1889 - 1981), best known for her blockbuster comic novel, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. Loos write a series of memoirs. A Girl Like I (1966), and Twice Over Lightly: New York Then and Now (1972) written in collaboration with friend and actress Helen Hayes, precedes before this volume which tells about her MGM years spent with the likes of Marion Davies, Douglas Fairbanks, D.W. Griffith, Irving Thalberg, Clark Gable, Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald and others in addtition to her personal life. Indeed, Loos' vivid portraits of her husband, nicknamed "Mr. E," has elicited much sympathetic response from many admirers who have enjoyed Loos' storytellings skills.
