London: Temprint Press Limited. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. 8vo., 132pp., Index. No date but c. early 1960's. Sharp Fifth Edition, Fully Revised of this travel guide from Aickman who founded England's Inland Waterway Association. This is the "Library Edition" bound in green paper-covered boards with titles in black on front board and spine. There was also a soft-cover edition. Photographs and terrific vintage ads. Square, tight, and clean throughout with just a touch of page toning. Minor wear to spine ends and tips. Very attractive unclipped dust-jacket, (10/-). has some minor rubbing to surface and folds. Chip to the heel with a small water stain and tiny chip to front bottom tip. Still fresh and bright with no creases or tears A very pretty collectable copy and uncommon on this side of the Atlantic.

- The outer portion of a book which covers the actual binding. The spine usually faces outward when a book is placed on a shelf....
- Tight
- Used to mean that the binding of a book has not been overly loosened by frequent use.
- Rubbing
- Abrasion or wear to the surface. Usually used in reference to a book's boards or dust-jacket.
- Heel
- The lower most portion of the spine when the book is standing vertically.
