About This Item
New York: Random House, 1977. Book. Near Fine. Hardcover. First Edition. First edition, first printing, with "First Edition" stated on the copyright page and number line ending in "2" which was Random House's method of signifying its first printings at the time. No remainder mark. First-issue dust jacket with publisher's original $7.95 price on front flap. Orange textured paper-covered boards with cream-color cloth spine with gold lettering. 233 pages. FINE book in VERY GOOD dust jacket. Book is bright, clean and unworn, tight and square, with no sunning or bumping. Flawless interior. No previous owner signature. Dust jacket has faint brown liquid stains along the top and bottom spine ends extending to the front and rear covers and some age-toning. Otherwise excellent with no other major flaws. Basis for the 1979 film of the same name starring Dustin Hoffman and Meryl Streep..
