Contemporary brown cloth, titled in faint gilt on spine; plain pastedowns, lacking both free endpapers; xii,420pp; frontis and 5 plates. Straight, sound, and unfaded, but rubbed, with boards exposed at corners, minor dirt to endleaves, both free endpapers lacking, adhesion to final leaf: Good or better.

A nineteenth-century treatise on wealth inequality and the rights of labor, written by a compositor "to teach that all governments are usurpations on the rights of laboring people" (frontispiece caption).
