Blue paper with author title publisher & 1 pound price. Cover states "A Paperback Original". . The quids were published only in wraps in the UK. Synopsis: Margaret Atwood is listening as her mother reads to her father, a stroke victim, Dillon Wallace's book "Lure of the Labrador Wild". Atwood summarizes LLW while talking of her father. LLW is the true account of an ill fated 1903 canoe expedion in northern Labrador. Throughot the reading her father is commenting, starting with: "They took the wrong supplies" & "Darn fools". LLW is a famous piece of Canadiana and is itself a fascinating read. It was followed by "The Long Labrador Trail" & "A Women's Way in Unknown Labrador". The three books themselves make for fascinating reads. They were summarized in the 1990s by Davison & Rugge's "Great Heart". .
