About This Item

Paris: Privately Printed, 1930. Limited Edition. Hardcover. Good+. Limited Edition. Hardcover. Second authorized edition: the "Author's Unabridged Popular Edition". Initially published in an edition of 1,000 copies by the Orioli Press in Florence (1928) and immediately pirated by various publishers. Lawrence issued this cheap edition in response with the assistance of Edward Titus. The new introduction addressed the pirated printings and is entitled My Skirmish with Jolly Roger. Light shelf/edge wear, front hinge starting (and with early tape repair), remains of b/w photographs that had been tipped in at the endpages and later removed, unusual markings at p185/185 [?manufacuturing flaw?], even toning to text block, else tight and unmarred. Halfbound, blue cloth spine and tips, marbled paper boards. 8vo. 365pp.
