VERY GOOD book in VERY GOOD unclipped dust jacket Good Queen Anne, Anne of England, was the last of the Stuarts. A lonely girl, she saw the crown pass from her uncle, Charles II, to her father, James II, and to her sister, Mary of Orange, before she became monarch with her devoted husband, George of Denmark, at her side. During her reign, 1702 - 1714, she effected union with Scotland, and through the military victories of the Duke of Marlborough, she set England on a course that would place it securely among the great powers of the world.
