Full calf. boards are tree calf and the spine has been under backed with raised bands and title label. The foreword reads" It is certain that a woman never appears to greater advantage than at the head of a well regulated table,which should always be so supplied so that the unexpected visit of a friend,or even a stranger,should occasion no inconvenience or confusion..Cookery, Domestica and general Household Management at the turn of the century.
