About This Item
1900 hardcover as pictured. L'Aiglon is a play in six acts by Edmond Rostand based on the life of Napoleon II, son of Emperor Napoleon. The title of the play comes from a nickname for Napoleon II, the French word for eaglet. This book is based on the translation as presented at the American premier in 1900. The cast list for the premier is included. Binding is firm. Embossed blue cloth boards with gold stamping have a small stain at front and show light edge wear. Rough cut text block with gilt top edge. Endpapers and text appear clean and unmarked. No dust jacket. Your purchase helps support our small village library. s AR
