(1st) Slightly smaller book, fine dark blue cloth, very bright gilt border with ornate flowery design at four corners of front, a pattern of very bright bees to all of front, crowned insignia very bright at center front, gilt lettering and gilt staff very bright covering most of spine, very bright gilt logo on back, 262 lightly browned roughcut pages, frontispiece of young actor. First appearance in New York City in October, 1900, starred Edwin Arden, Maude Adams and J.H. Gilmour. Light surface wear to top tips and spine corners, very tiny crease at bottom bck tip. Near Very Fine.
