[5], vi, [1], 2-154, [2] pp. Quarter navy morocco over marbled boards with the spine in six compartments, gold lettering on the spine; all edges decoratively speckled. Decorative endpapers and pastedowns. MacTutor, "Solomon Lefschetz". Lefschetz was an important mathematician who made numerous contributions to discreet mathematics. He was influential in bringing to the forefront algebraic aspects of topology. He also made essential contributions to various kinds of homology theory, and did work on Poincaré's geometry research. Leaves show toning and two owner's names.
