New York : Doubleday Page , 1923 . Early Edition . VG/VG- . 8VO . A bright copy in the uncommon orange jacket with designs by Kipling on the front, duplicated in gilt on the book's front cover. Eleven stories eight poems published between 1893 and 1923, a number of which were published here for the first time. An early printing with the 1923 date but lacking the First Edition on the copyright page and with gift inscription dated Xmas 1924 on the FFEP. Some lightening to the front board due to old damp, evidence of which is also present on the jacket verso. Jacket is edgeworn and chipped. Stewart 506.
