Bound in light gray buckram titled in gilt with decorations in white & gilt on the spine & with a device stamped in white & gilt on the front cover, in a pictorial dust wrapper. The top & bottom edges of the front cover are slightly darkened. The dust jacket is chipped with some short tears. The glassine surface is chipped & rubbed away from the upper halves of the panels, which are somewhat darkened & soiled. 276 pages. Profusely illustrated throughout with color and black & white illustrations, 4 black & white folding maps and 10 superb color folding maps. Very good in a good dust wrapper. <p>International Book Society edition.
