Synopsis
Barbaralee Diamonstein-Spielvogel is a well-known preservation activist. She served on the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission and as chair of the Landmarks Preservation Foundation. She is currently chair of the Historic Landmarks Preservation Center. She has also served on the United States Commission of Fine Arts. She is the author of nineteen books, including three prior volumes of The Landmarks of New York and Remaking America.
