New York: Scott and Seltzer, 1919. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Good. Very Good Good in a Good jacket, unclipped ($1.25), generally soiled and rubbed, chips to the edges. Green buckram, pushed at the edges, dulled gilt lettering on the spine. Bound with a bit of reading wear and a forward lean, clean internally. A collection of four short stories by the noted realist author. This copy comes from the personal collection of Caldecott Medal-winning illustrator Maurice Sendak.
