About This Item

Granta Books, London, 1998. Book. Near Fine. Hardcover. Signed by Author(s). 1st Edition. The correct first edition (first printing), preceding the US edition by two years. This copy signed by the author on the title page. 8vo. xiii, 578pp. Yellow boards lettered in black at the spine. Illustrated with over seventy black and white photographs. A small indentation to the base of the upper and lower boards, else a fine copy in price-clipped dust wrapper, very lightly rubbed at several extremities. A chronicle of the lives of the five celebrated Langhorne sisters, amongst them Nancy Astor; penned by her great-nephew (the journalist and author of the book 'White Mischief', as opposed to the sire of the lamentable Laurence Fox)..
