Archeological and historical work on Roman art in the Bourgogne region. Written by Charles Oursel (1876-1967), conservator of the Bibliotheque de Dijon. With a preface by renowned Harvard medievalist architectural historian, Arthur Kingsley Porter (1883-1933). Delightfully illustrated with 36 full-page photogravure plates, numbered in Roman numerals. Serious age wear to binding, with large parts of mylar missing, binding starting to split and part missing at bottom of spine. Very minor tears at edges to pages, due to acidulation. Otherwise clean. In French. Binding in poor, inside in good condition.
