Firenze: Sansoni, 1973. First edition. 191-plates. Large 8vo (9 1/2 x 7 inches), 203-pages (text). Original cloth; very good in like very very lightly spotted dustwrapper which is rubbed to top margin. From the library of the eminent archaeologist Professor John Davies Evans (1925-2011) with his bookplate. He was director of the Institute of Archaeology (now part of University College, London) from 1973 to 1989; renowned especially for his research into the prehistory of the Mediterranean, particularly the prehistoric cultures of Malta.
