Signed. First Edition. Near Fine. Story of Herman Lehman, an 11 yr old boy captured by the Apaches in 1870 and adopted by them. He subsequently escaped and was adopted by the Comanches and adopted by Chief Quanah Parker. When the Comanches surrendered Lehman was returned to his white family. The book is inscribed to Charles Caperton, who was one of the most prominent criminal defense attorneys in Texas. The book is vey slightly warped on the end, but not at the spine. The book appears to be unread. The jacket is near fine and is protected in mylar. The author has inscribed and signed on the half title page.
