About This Item
San Francisco; (: Underwood/Miller, 1980. First Edition. Quarto. First hard cover edition, illustrated by Alicia Austin (who illustrated many of the Cheap Street publications) with a card laid in signed by her. The story of ancient castles falling to their doom. Only one survives, Castle Hagedorn. Over 700 years of service from the alien Meks but for some discernable reason the Meks had rebelled and were about to destroy Earth's genteel civilization. One man was willing to fight, for his life and home. With ancient weapons stored in his Castle, he strove to master them and learn the ways of war. A near fine copy bound in violet cloth lettered in silver, spine lettering silver, in near fine unclipped pictorial dust jacket. Corners very lightly bumped.
