Toronto: George Virtue, 1881. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good. Large Octavo. 4to. 392; 649pp. Two volumes in gilt lettered half burgundy morocco over burgundy cloth with gilt titles. Marbled endpapers. Colour portrait of the Marquis of Lorne and wife. Illustrated with portraits throughout. Pages age-toned, boards unevenly sunned, with light rubbing and staining to the spines. Overall a good clean, bound-up from the parts.
