About This Item
Toronto: Stoddart Publishing, 1982. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. pp: 253. FIRST EDITION. The biography of one of the most unusual Canadians who lived in the vast part of Canada known generally as "The North". The book is more than a biography however. It is also an account of the growth of commercial aviation in the north, and the expansion of various enterprises that normally wouldn't be found so far north. This is a very good copy in a good dust jacket. The book has bumped spine ends, and light edge wear. The jacket has a three-inch tear along the rear panel at the spine. There is a one-inch tear on the front panel, also near the spine. There is a water stain at the base of the front panel that shows internally and, to a lesser extent, externally. And, there is moderate edge wear. The original $18.95 price is present. The jacket is now protected with a Brodart cover.
