New York: Viking, 1987. This First American Edition is in Fine condition with a Near Fine unclipped dust jacket. (Click on photo.) The book has a remainder mark on the bottom edge. The book is translated from the original Spanish by George R. Shivers, with input from the author. According to Salman Rushdie, Ariel Dorfman is "one of the most important voices coming out of Latin America." The book is bound in red boards, with a red cloth spine and die-stamped gilt spine lettering. The book is clean and bright throughout. The dust jacket has several tiny tears repaired on the reverse with non-acidic tape, and light spine tip rubbing. The book measures 6 1/4 by 9 1/4 inches, with 453 pages. . First Edition. Hard Cover. Fine/Near Fine. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
