First edition, first printing; posthumously published. With a poem by Stopford A Brooke and an appreciation by Henry James. Hubert Crackanthorpe, a British writer and critic born in 1870, explored themes of love, passion, and human relationships in his short stories and novels. Despite his brief career, his works were esteemed for their psychological depth and elegant prose.
