London: Published by Sherwood, Jones, & Co.,, 1825.. 1825 767 p. Frontis. Landscape format, the text printed in two columns. First edition. 14 cms. Calf binding by Riviere with a later reback. Minor wear to edges and corners and light scuffing on the boards. The text block clean and tightwith gilt edges. Armorial bookplate and a pencil note 'From Beckford Library' on the verso of the front endpaper together with a later 19th century signature. It is accepted that the major part of the editorial work was conducted by Thomas Hood, with contributions by Charles Lamb, some of whose work is included. in the contents.
