Los Angeles: Times-Mirror, 1935. First Edition. Signed and inscribed by the author, William S. Hart in the year of publication: “For Miss Nichols with best wishes of William S. Hart. 1935.” With a frontispiece painting which is also the illustration on the front panel of the dust jacket by James Montgomery Flagg whose World War I “I Want You” Uncle Sam recruitment poster is internationally famous, and a black & white photograph of William S. Hart in Western wear on his Horseshoe Ranch. Near fine copy with some minor edge wear in a used and worn dust jacket with internal tape reinforcements, fading to the spine, dust soiling, and a few small and medium chips and tears. A collection of short stories with Western themes. Actor, director William S. Hart, is also known for his popular Western films of the 20s, with his final work, Tumbleweeds, being his greatest commercial and critical success.
