About This Item

First Edition, First Printing. Finely rebound in modern, navy leather, with gilt letter on cover and spine. Original cover and endpapers, including adverts, part of rebound. Taped closed tears on frontispiece, end paper and title page (see photos). Very good internally with light foxing in places, and with closed tears repaired on pages 95-100. Overall, a very good copy of this scare first edition with historical notes of the exploration and islands of St Thomas and St. John. Illustrated with numerous places throughout. A great copy.
