About This Item
New York: Harper & Brothers Publishers, 1923. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good. First edition signed by Fisher on the front end paper, inscribed "Yours for peace." 268 pp. Navy cloth with gilt lettering. Very Good+. Lettering on spine rubbed. Hinges at front and rear are a little weak. A very tidy copy in nice shape for its age.
A pro-League of Nations work signed by progressive reformer and economist Irving Fisher. The League of Nations was an interwar international body, a predecessor to the United Nations, which crumbled in the face of Axis aggression before WWII.
