About This Item
Paris: Léonce Laget, 1972. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. Paris, Léonce Laget, 1972. Large quarto, two volumes, xvi, 290 and [viii], 203 pages with over 320 illustrations. Cloth slightly marked and bowed; top edges a little foxed; endpaper gutters discoloured and the top margin of the first ten leaves of the first volume slightly cockled (these blemishes, together with the slight mustiness, suggest the books have been slightly affected by damp at one stage); a very good set with the excellent dustwrappers. The first volume contains the history of this important French society of engravers, and the catalogue raisonné of the 300 prints it published; the second volume contains an extensive biographical dictionary of members. Number 11 of only 500 sets for sale. [2 items].
