Vinton & Co.,, 1900. First edition hardbacks. Volume 1 has a large folding map, portrait frontispiece, xx + 454 pages; volume 2, xii + 409 pages; both volumes are illustrated throughout. They are bound in red cloth with a gilt hound device, the are some light grubby marj ks and some light rubbing; the bindings are sound. The pastedowns bear the bookplate of 'The Lord Blyth'. The large folding map ha a touch of marginal foxing but is otherwise very clean and has no tears. There is some edge foxing throughout both volu mes, the pages are otherwise clean and crisp.
