Geneve, Switzerland: Editions Sonor, 1935. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good. Large 8vo 9" - 10. Handsomely produced volume of disquisition into the art and lives of the Genovese school of painting by an acknowledged author, Louis Gielly, who was born in 1876, bound in brown marbled cloth over boards, brown cloth over tips and spine, sharp and distinct gilt lettering to spine. Bumping to spine head and foot. French language texts throughout, with 222 pp. and plentiful illustrations, 25 being in black-and-white and printed on high-gloss paper. Withdrawn from the Crocker Art Museum, but with only four ink-stamps to show for it, else quite fine of interior, clean, if toned pages. Note of Erratum laid in at title page.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
