Smith, Elder & Co., 1854. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1854. No Edition Remarks. 239 pages. No dust jacket. Brown cloth. Ex Libris plate to front pastedown. Contains black and white illustrated plates. Pages and plates are lightly tanned and foxed throughout. Cracking to gutters of a few pages with exposed binding. Occasional thumb-marking present. Cracking to hinges with exposed binding, causing boards to be loose. Some pages and guard tissue pages are loose. Boards have moderate edge wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Crushing to spine ends with small splits and fraying to cloth. Scuffing and light marking overall. Moderate tanning to spine and edges.
