About This Item

1840 two volume set as pictured. A handsomely bound edition in full calf and raised bands with gold striping on boards and gold stamping on spine. Bindings are firm. Tan leather boards are lightly soiled and rubbed with some scuffing of edges. A portion of the paste on author label is missing from volume 1. Text edges and endpapers are beautifully marbled. Penciled notations on the endpapers of both volumes. Text is lightly tanned but otherwise clean and unremarkable. Your purchase helps support our small village library. s
