New York: Simon and Schuster, 1957. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Near Fine. Very Good in a Near Fine jacket, unclipped ($3.50), lightly toned and rubbed at the surface and edges. Quarter burgundy cloth with blue paper on the boards, bumped at the corners. Square and firmly bound with a red top stain and toned pages, front hinge a bit weak, gift inscription on the half-title page. Bedford's novel about "the rich and the titled of Europe during the fifty years before the First World War.
