Lovely red hardcovers with black lettering and designs on front and back. Hardcover is coming off of spine, hardboards exposed. Corners are bumped. Spine and back cover show sun damage. Some soiling to inside front/back cover and edges. Webbing is exposed on inside back cover. Pages are clean. Stock photos may not look exactly like the book.

With a frontispiece etching of the Bard, and frequent in-text wood engravings. Contemporary tan full calf, with raised bands, gilt titles to burgundy label, and further gilt decoration to spine. Gilt tooling also to boards. All edges gilt, marbled endpapers, and gilt dentelle to turn-ins. Black ink ownership of C. Barham, December 1920, to first blank. Some spotting to endpapers and preliminaries. Spine toned and lightly rubbed, with light general wear and a few minor scratches to boards. Very good.
