London: John Lehmann, 1952. First Edition. Hard Cover. Dust Jacket. Signed by Author. First UK Edition. Pale blue grey cloth boards stamped in vermillion, in D/W [designed by John Minton]. Minor ghosting from the D/W onto the spine of the book otherwise a VG+ copy in a D/W with some light darkening around dust wrapper and slight fraying at the spine tips and creasing along top edge, but overall a very nice copy. Inscribed on the front free end-paper by the Author: with best wishes/ to Peter Nicks/ in memoriam Tangiers 1947/ from/ Paul Bowles. A most uncommon signature
