About This Item
London: Edward Moxon, 1837. First edition. Engraved portrait frontispieces with tissue guards. Two volumes 8vo (7 3/4 x 5 inches), pages: x:335 & 338. Very attractive contemporary half tan calf, marbled boards, spines gilt in compartments and with black and crimson lettering pieces. Foxing to prelims and portraits, the body of the text however unaffected. Gilt to spines dulled however still very pleasing and in excelent condition.
